Anti-bark training for your lively lovely dog isn’t about muting them instantly. The goal is to teach your dog that excessive barking is undesirable, patiently and repeatedly, until it learns. The need to trim your dog's fur depends on its coat length. The conductive silicon prongs should make contact with your dog's skin for effective stimulation. If your dog has short fur, there's no need to trim it. However, for dogs with longer fur, such as Golden Retrievers, the fur might interfere with the skin contact of the silicon prongs, and in such cases, it's recommended to trim the fur in the silicon prongs area for proper contact.
